Goolwa is about 19 kms east of Victor Harbor. This is a lovely little town with a population around 3,000, it is the gateway to the Murray Mouth. A bridge now joins Hindmarsh Island to the mainland. They have Paddlesteamers regattas here. Lots to do and see in this area. The first public railway in Australia (horse drawn) was opened here in 1854.
