The sign reads: A paradise to bird and nature lovers. Welcome to the Kuala Lumpur Birdpark. A wonder world of birds and a tropical paradise to nature lovers. Located in the serene and scenic lake gardens, the Kuala Lumpur Birdpark is the largest in the region, sprawling 3.2 hectares of verdant valley terrain. Here for the first time in Malaysia bird lovers can have a field day watching some 2000 birds perching and winging about freely - in a totally natural and beautifully landscaped environment. Hornbills, flamingos, parrots, cockatoos, stocks, pheasants, mynahs, pigeons, macaws, ducks, waterhens, and more. Feathered citizens and ambassadors gathered together from countries like Australia, New Quinea, Thailand, Indonesia, Tanzania, China, Holland, and of course, Malaysia. I think that this park is the largest bird park in South-East Asia and the largest "walk-in Free Flight Aviary" in the world.
