This photo was taken on the Ponte degli Scalzi, or Scalzi Bridge, over the Grand Canal in Venice. Scalzi Bridge is the first of only three bridges that cross the Grand Canal on its two-mile course to St Mark's Square, and one of over four hundred in all of Venice. Built in 1934, the Scalzi Bridge is exactly next to the Santa Lucia Train Station and was very close to my hotel, the Albergo Adua.
