These photos are from a week-long trip into the remote Uinta Canyon region of the High Uintas Wilderness Area in Utah. We traversed one pine-carpeted valley after another, cresting tall ridges in between. Each ridge offered spectacular views of the surrounding basins. It was a great feeling, standing in the thin air above the trees, far from any road or trail, looking at nothing but pure wilderness as far as we could see. The terrain was rugged and beautiful.
