These are some impressions of a short day tramp to Godley Head, a reserve in the Christchurch Port Hills, on sunday 18/09/2005. We started of from Taylors Mistake carpark following the coastal track to Harris Bay and Boulder Bay. At the latter the track climbs up through grazing land to Godley Head carpark. From here we explored the WW2 historic site and the Tunnel track, which leads down to the shore to further fortifications through an old pedestrian tunnel cut into the cliffs. After climbing back up to the carpark, we returned to Taylors Mistake via the Godley Head road and a multi-use track leading down from it.
