Undulating foothills west of Calgary have a stunning scenery. Located between the flat prairies in the east and the majestic Rockies in the west, the foothills offer spectacular and diverse vistas.

This region is rich in natural resources and farm lands. Beautifully set old homesteads create a very attractive area to take a sightseeing ride or hike. Many hikers who explore the foothills ridges find surprises where nature can peacefully coexist with new development.

The foothills beauty has been discovered by Hollywood and many movies have been filmed there.
