Near the city of Morelia, in the state of Michoacan are the towns of Patzcuaro and Tzintzuntzan, by Lake Patzcuaro. I took the bus from Morelia (1 hour) to Patzcuaro after a long ride from Leon. The entire area is incredibly green. It rains daily, usually in the afternoon, and that keeps everything squeaky clean and the landscape lush. There are 2 main plazas the Plaza Chica and the Plaza Grande. Surprisingly, the Plaza Grande is the calmer, quieter of the two.
