One of my favourite parts of Copenhagen is the Christiana area which was once a military base, but is now home to a dynamic hippy community. Marijuana is openly sold in shops and the streets are unpaved, with a 3rd world ambience; and despite being in the middle of the city, the whole place has the feel of an enchanted, slightly psychadelic cartoon village.
