The first theatre in Europe open to the public was built in Hvar Town's vast Arsenal in 1612. While most of the Arsenal was used to repair Venetian war ships, the tiny theatre remained a cultural alternative over the years. Here a group of tourists get a quick look at the theatre, which still stages plays for small audiences.
