On 18th September 2005 The Crown Estates Office at 13 - 16 Carlton House terrace, London, opened its doors to the public for the day as part of London's annual 'Open House' event.

The Crown Estates Office administers and looks after all the property owned by the Crown, i.e. By Queen Elizabeth II.

It occupies this wonderfully palatial building, the splendour of which I hope is conveyed at least a little bit in the photos. The first photo is not one of mine, but all the rest are mine.
