View from Speaker's Corner
Parks in Regina picture - towards Albert Street bridge. The Speaker's corner is in the north west corner, just off Albert Street. Designed by Wascana Center Authority staff, it forms the entrance to Wascana Park from Albert Street at 19th Avenue. It was officially dedicated to the people of Saskatchewan in 1966 by the Earl Mountbatten, Admiral of the Fleet of Burma during World War II to serve as a constant reminder of our heritage of free speech and assembly, and a tribute to Saskatchewan's people who have upheld that heritage.
