Wascana Lake is the home of the Wascana Racing Canoe Club (WRCC), a non-profit organization that was established in 1986. The club provides a competitive and recreational canoe and kayak program for Regina area children, youths, and adults. Since 1986, the WRCC has developed into a club that has athletes compete at the national and international level. The club also offers a Kayak Program For Special Needs Children, and war canoe and dragonboat training. Their clubhouse was built in 1996 and contains three bays of boat storage, change rooms, weight training space, boat repair area and message center.
