I visited Normandy From 20/9/2003 to 29/9/2003. Here you can see a collection of the pictures I took during this visit. It's one of the most beautiful regions I visited with lots of open spaces. and you have some wonderful buildings (especially Mont Saint Michel and Lisieux basilique). Also the historical background of the region has given a wide range of places you can visit. You have Falaise which was the birthplace of William the conqueror. And you can't forget the D-day landing beaches. Every city seems to have it's place in the history of the invasion. You find a lot of museums with military hardware. But to keep the events of 1944 in perspective visit one of the cemeteries. There you see the other side of war. Also for the food lovers the this is certainly a interesting region. don't forget to taste the "cidre bouché" and the calvados. And when visiting the coast don't forget to try a tray of "fruits de mer" with a bottle of wine. This was my first visit but certainly not the last.
