In July of 2005 we spent a fantastic week on the island of Corfu. We stayed at the Roda Inn, and were spoiled rotten by the owner, Helen. Our absolutely favourite beach was Myrtiotissa, because it was completely untouched. Most of the beaches on the island have hotels and resortts to make everyone comfortable. As it is an island formed from volcanic eruptions, there are large hills along the coast, making it necessary to go down steep hills to the beach. But in every case, it is worth the trip!.

However, tourists should be prepared for the fact that there is nude bathing at Myrtiotissa, and topless sunbathing is common around the entire island.
