You can pose and have your picture taken in some of the Mel. Gaol's cells. But it is not really funny, and you end up with a feeling of depression and gloom. Indeed, the broad smile of the charming lady at the ticket counter was a great help. Memorablia on sale at the gaol gift shop include plastic locks, chains and stuff.
