Captain Cook's Cottage, situated within Melbourne's Fitzroy Gardens. This cottage was built in England in 1755. It was bought by an Australian, who had it dismantled brick by brick in 1933 and had it shipped to Oz, where it was painfully reassembled at this spot in 1934. Ironically, Capt.Cook never really lived in this house, except probably in his very early days.
