July 2003 saw us heading Down Under. We had two fun filled weeks in Oz, spending six days in Melbourne and Victoria, and eight days in Sydney and New South Wales.
This series of 141 photos walks you down our travels in Melbourne and Victoria. You will see pictures from Melbourne city, the Blue Dandenongs, the Puffing Billy Railway, Ballarat and The Great Ocean Road.
I was to have written an article with the pictures interspersed into the text, as I had done for my other articles:
http://www.worldisround.com/browse/search.html?scope=travel&q=shankar
However, as that function does not seem to be working at the moment, I have put in detailed captions for all the photos.
I hope you will enjoy viewing them. There are 141 in all, so get a large steaming hot cup of coffee (or Long Black, as they call it Down Under), and enjoy!
I made the mistake of deviating from Kodak film and opted for Konica instead. Horror upon horrors, apart from being stuck with a sloppy lab, I found Konica film is much more grainy than Kodak. So its back to Kodak from now on. (if they continue to make film: they have been sending out threatening press releases of late!)
Comments and suggestions are welcome. To see our Sydney photos, go right here:
