I spent the week in a magnificent old Hotel called The Carrington in the town of Katoomba which is centrally located in the mountains. I have included quite a few shots of this grand old hotel that has only been refurbished in the last decade after being virtually abandoned for many years.
Weather at this time of year is still quite brisk, 10C-15C during the day, usually around 0C of an evening. As it was spring everything was very green, with private gardens being opened for public display.
Of course great views and vistas are around every corner, I have include what I managed to capture during my stay.
All images are captured using a Canon PowerShot G2 digital camera in RAW format. For the technically minded most shots are converted to jpeg using Breezebrowser in normal or combined mode, some are converted to jpeg using the Powershovel II RAW converter. Whilst not a current model, the G2 really is a great travel camera and can produce great results.
Hope you enjoy.
