The ritual includes staring at each other lovingly, matching each other's footsteps, and swatting beaks, then pulling back and chattering their teeth in excitement. This was one of the most memorable parts of the trip. According to the guide, this isn't a mating ritual, but a courtship one. Albatrosses mate for life (70+ years).
