It was also named as living building. It was built in the early 1900's and was one of the main buildings of the Puppet Manchurian Palace. Originally it was the office building of the Jilin-Heilongjiang Exclusive Transportation Bureau. Puyi named it "Jixi building" according to the ancient poet ShiJing.Daya.WenWang because he always wanted to restore the Qing Dynasty. Puyi, with his empress Wanrong and concubine Tanyuling, all lived here.
