Zielona Gora (previous German Grunberg)in 1945 was a little town (24 thousand habitants) located near the new western Polish border. Now it is a vibrant city with 120 thousand habitants, a University, a Concert Hall and many new modern buildings and shopping centers. It is one of the nicest towns in Poland. In surrounding areas there are lots of forests and lakes.
