They were awarded for service with both the RAF and the RCAF. They include the VC (Victoria Cross), CB (Order of the Bath), Distinguished Service Order with Bar, Military Cross, Distinguished Flying Cross, Chevalier de la Legion d'Honneur, Croix de Guerre avec Palmes, and 9 other British and Canadian decorations. With 72 enemy aircraft destroyed in WWI, he was Canada's greatest ace. He became Air Marshall in the RCAF in World War II, and died in 1952.
