Silver Cave ...
Hi, Adeleide I enjoyed your photos on the Silver Cave. There is a similar attraction (caves of karst formations colorfully lighted up) in Yunnan near Kunming. It is called JiuXiang. Yue Li, the owner demonstrate 2 times for us to get those shots. With DSLR, continuous shoot is not a problem at all.. speed is fast enough to capture them. glad that u like my pics. Doreen, yes! Formation is very UNIQUE. I posted only partially of overall shooting. I have no time to listen and digest what's the cave tour guide explanation of each rock formation thus I bought a CD come back home to recap! Too bad, its in mandarin, if not can pinjam you coz you might interested! PC, only caving photos are hand held. Some shots are shaky too when i started to snap. After 7-8 shots I managed to get steady pic.. Pagodas are with tripod, i tried with hand held, FAILED! There was one night I'm at ZhaoQing city, they have nice pagodas too but I never bring my tripod with me in the morning.. as usually, we only back to hotel late at night. So, I won't want to miss out anything else.. carry tripod where I go! I can keep it in the bus, so its kinda convenient :-)) I only feel safe with it at night..ever ready for photograph! lol! If ANYONE OF YOU INTERESTED to know more about SILVER CAVE, you can ask the CD from me. Its in CHINESE.. not english version huh...

Yes, both pagodas are the best! Was it shot handheld? I really envy image stabilizer:) The silver cave is amazing too! The Guilin, LiJiang was quite cloudy, same as what I have seen last time, bad day. If not, good light+misty, you will enjoy more:) Anyhow, it is still a good trip!.....Ping Chuin

Incredible lighting effects ....
Silver Cave and Guilin city look very impressive with all its lighting. Looks a bit commercial but Silver Cave got incredible & beautiful formation inside it.

Spidey, the commorants don't fish intensively. Once the prey is catched and their master release prey from its throat, commorants stayed on bamboo canoe until the master giving signal to get into water again... commorant didn't smell good.. I couldn't stay near and long with them..

Wei, you alwaz no.1 viewer! Mana boleh? kekeke.. Silver cave is so so colourful..I felt so glad when I can shoot them from what I saw exactly with ISO 3200+antishake in KM WITHOUT TRIPOD! The rest of travelmates failed to get anyone of these shots with point & shoot camera.. Yeah, silver and gold pagodas are nice.. I did it in a rush. When our bus stopped here, guide mentioned spent 10 mins here. But within 5 mins, people were gone! My sister keep chasing me to get on the bus.. really potong steam.. I keep on cursing all the way to the bus with my fist shaking !! LOL
