This picture, taken by my friend John Lacey, shows the three of us gaping in awe as the massive steam contraption works. The wheel is turning very fast indeed. An elderly gent is up there, while another gent behind us is giving a continuous commentary about the workings of this machine, above its loud sound.You hardly hear the hiss hiss of the steam, its the wheel and the vibration which make a racket.
