84. Echidna
Sightseeing in Sydney picture - The hedgehog like echidna, seen here, and the duck billed platypus, are the only two mammals in the world that lay eggs. Both are native to Australia, both are nocturnal and very shy creatures, and very difficult to photograph. We did see platypus, but they always lurk under rocks and stones, or in dark corners. Same for the echidna, lucky for us this fellow ventured out.
