Australia is the land of parrots, and there are scores of varieties found all over the country. We have king parrots, rainbow lorikeets, crimson rosellas, sulfur crested cockatoos, budgerigars, pink and grey galahas etc. etc. But this very colorful species is from South America. These two birds were sitting a little away from a whole flock of them in a cage in the Taronga zoo.
