My father's mother - Anna Pedersdatter Lid (pronounced "Lee") - When Dad was still alive, he said this was taken about 1911. Born in Liabygda Norway, April 18, 1889. Anna came to America on her own in 1905 at age 16. In America, she called herself Anna Jacobson Lee, until she married Jesse Britton. I've been to Norway twice now, in July 2001 and again in August 2003. These photos are a mixture of both trips, my cousins trip to the USA in 2005 for Anna's immigration centennial and some genealogy photos thrown in.
