The Yucatan - famous for its sun and resort tourists. However, we found that the Yucatan has far more to offer than crowded beaches. The Yucatan is also part of the land of the Maya and has some famous ruins such as Chichen Itza but also other beautiful sites such as Tulum on the Sea and Coba in the jungle. Outside of the major centres the white sand and clear water of the beaches and the ability to stay in a seaside cabana with the sound of the waves is amazing.
