Venice is the most fantastic place. During our visit we stayed in a lovely hotel at San Polo. Hotel Alex is very reasonable. It is run by Mario Fiorentini and his mother, Velia Marazzi; truely gracious hosts. A few metres from the hotel is the Church dei Frari.
