where we had dinner. Depending on which side you're standing on, one can see the Straits of Melaka, fishing villages, the durian orchards and paddy fields of Genting, and Balik Pulau. One visible fishing village is Teluk Kumbar which was once a small fishing village dotted with attap-roofed houses but is now being gradually replaced by towering concrete apartments blocks. (Teluk Kumbar was one of the fishing villages that was hit by the tsunami about a month before these pix were taken.)
