The Pantanal of South America is one of the most immense, pristine and biologically rich environments on the planet. Often referred to as the worlds largest freshwater wetland system, it extends through millions of hectares of central-western Brazil, eastern Bolivia and eastern Paraguay. With its extraordinarily concentrated and diverse flora and fauna, and a landscape spanning a variety of ecological sub-regions, the Pantanal stands as one of the worlds great natural wonders.

The Alligator is common in the Rivers and ponds of the Pantanal. Alligators are not aggressive animals by nature like their relatives the corcodiles found in other places.

A spectacular view you can find, which unfortnuately i didnt not record with my camera wis when you flash your flashlight on the surface of the water at night. The alligator's eyes on top of the surface of the water flicker red. All you see in the darkness would be the red eyes of the alligators:)

Our native guide in the Brazilan Pantanal erablshed a friendship with one of the wild alligators. He calls him Ali the Alligator. Whenever he is taking tourists around he calls for Ali and Ali suddently comes ot of the water to play with us. Also Ali has a shar eof the Phirana fish we fish at the waters.
