Jammu and Kashmir is an interesting place to visit where we can experience Muslim, Hindu and Buddhist culture all in one place. Indeed it is also one of the dangerous place due to the proxy war between India and Pakistan under way since 1947.

Srinagar is J&K's summer capital. We stayed in boathouse at Dal lake for the whole visit and paddling between the canals in Shikara (boat) everyday. People lives here, trade here and plant here. The lake is frozen in winter leaving small open path for the traffic.

We've also visited 2 famous skiiing paradise near Srinagar, Gulmarg and Pahalgam. Sadly summer is not the best time to visit as snow is absent on most of the mountains.

Security issue seems tension here on the armies but the locals live their life as nothing will happens.
