Gunung Brinchang to Irau trail comprises one of the marvellous hike where you can find rare mossy forest with unique flora and fauna. Standing at approximately 2000m, Irau is located at Cameron Highland, accessible thru Brinchang. The drive from Brinchang thru Boh Tea plantation to the entrance at Gunung Brinchang will take approximately half an hour. Tour guide is recommended for the hiking, but the trail to Gunung Irau is still accessible by following the crowd. The whole hike will take around 9-10 hours by applying the slower pace. The path could be very muddy due to the rainy weather at the higher altitude, creating certain level of complication to the hike. You may go knee-deep into the mud, but the fun, excitement and the beauty of nature will certainly override any feel of hardship. Raincoat is recommended as it is almost raining every day. The weather is chilly, but the hike can create the warmness thru your body to resist the cold. The hike is considered not suitable for beginners, but you will be rewarded with the great scenery along the way.
