I started my tour from Darwin, which has a tropical climate. I chose May because in Australia, May is autumn, with comfortable weather for biking. Darwin has a pleasant and busy centre with many shops. I spent the first morning making preparations for my tour. Leaving Darwin seemed like leaving civilization. I rode through a few suburbs, but soon the houses disappeared and only the bush provided scenery. Quite remarkably, a bicycle track runs parallel along the road. No bicycles, except mine. About 10 kilometres from Darwin, the bike path ended. (more on http://bora.dacom.co.kr/~boonstra/aus/page01.htm ) </div></nolayer></noembed>
