The most important milestone during my tour was Alice Springs. I settled on a camping site on the north edge of town, erecting my tent with the intention to stay an extra day. After taking a shower and leaving my things at the camp ground, I was ready for exploring downtown Alice. I felt the excitement with cars coming from all directions and traffic lights to stop for.
