Another landmark on this tour was Port Augusta because of its location. Port Augusta lies at the top end of the Spencer Gulf, and has a direct connection with the sea. By reaching this place, I had achieved my principle goal: cycling from coast to coast across Australia. At this point, I had cycled 3,200 kilometres.
