Ladakh - "A place of many passes"

Srinagar -> Kargil -> LEH. The road from Srinagar to LEH is usually open from the beginning of June to Oct. It is all frozen during winter. The winding trip took 2 days with an overnight at Kargil, the second coldest habitat town in the world. We were once only 30KM away from Pakistan !

We passed by valleys like Glacier Valley and some steep and vast oasis river valley in an old bus.

Once in Ladakh we can immediatly notice the difference. It is dryer than Kashmir and the Tibetian influnce is everywhere. ... (more)

Helping me relive my trip
