Srinagar -> Kargil -> LEH. The road from Srinagar to LEH is usually open from the beginning of June to Oct. It is all frozen during winter. The winding trip took 2 days with an overnight at Kargil, the second coldest habitat town in the world. We were once only 30KM away from Pakistan !

We passed by valleys like Glacier Valley and some steep and vast oasis river valley in an old bus.

Once in Ladakh we can immediatly notice the difference. It is dryer than Kashmir and the Tibetian influnce is everywhere.

Houses and temples are all Tibetian alike. The obvious different from Srinagar is we get to see more tourist. Visitor fly straight from New Delhi to Leh to enjoy the little Tibet in a Hinduism country.
