This picture was taken in either 1977 or 1978, and is thus either the last or next to last official picture of the so called "Salaam" ceremony of the Iranian New Year. An official picture would be taken every New Years eve in the throne room of Golestan Palace with the Shah and Shahbanou surrounded by cabinet ministers of the imperial government. Many of the ministers in this picture were later, after the Iranian revolution of 1979, charged with corruption and human rights violations and consequently executed.
