The Musical Ride enters the compound
Neighborhoods in Ottawa picture - This spectacular event, with 32 horses and riders, was first performed in public in 1901. The last week of June a free public "Sunset Ceremony" is performed here, as final preparation for Canada Day and performances across Canada and around the world. There are demonstrations of horsemanship, old cavalry drill, and police dog activities; new foals make their public debut, and the Ride itself caps off the show.
