In my opinion,the main attraction to Penang is the old town district of Georgetown where you can see fine examples of colonial era straits architecture. Because many ethnic groups settled here from the very beginning, you will also find fine examples of Georgian civic buildings, Chinese mansions, terraced row houses and shop houses, Indian temples and Achehnese mosques. Georgetown also has the largest Chinatown in Malaysia.
