Hi Just wondering if there have been any other travellers to the Viva Whyndham Tangerine resort in Peurta Plata. How was the water for snorkelling and how was the food. Did anyone visit a local school..?

Diana: International brands available but you have to ask for them. Inky: It is a tough place to snorkel, kite surfing capital of the world, your kids will not be bored, catamarans, bogies boards, sail boards and good instructors.

Can anyone tell me if there is snokling at this resort? They say they have a dive school, but whatabout snokling? Has anyone taken their kids? Is there plenty of things to keep kids from 11 to 15 busy and not bored? Any other information would be great also.

Awesome pictures. Must admit I was a bit apprehensive after reading the first review posted about this hotel - feeling much better now. We are booked here for a 2 week stay in Feb. In all of the material I have read about this resort it states that international liquor is part of the all inclusive offer - can you confirm this to be true ?

Did not think to take pictures of the rooms sorry, and resort is about 2km maximum to downtown Cabarete. Food at the resort was good and the disco was quite busy but not no noise heard from it.
