Munich during Oktoberfest is crazy. The Oktoberfest grounds are about a 30 minute walk outside the city so you can see all the sights and avoid the fest somewhat. But why would you want to??? Oktoberfest is like a huge carnival with lots of beer. There are rides, all sorts of good foods, and of course the beer. It's a good time and completely worth the trip. Plus Munich is a beautiful city.
