Canmore, once a small mining community, now after closing mines and no more expansion for Banff town site became very attractive alpine place nested along Bow River.

The impressive geological setting of Canmore is an ideal location to highlight the geology of the Rocky Mountains. This region located in the most westerly part of Kananaskis Country offers many spectacular and scenic hikes.
