We dropped-by Washington D.C. after our U.K. trip but also found protest banners & posters here. (But I'll publish my "U.S.A. '03" articles after I finish all these "The U.K. '03" articles.) *Indeed, the prevailing circumstances in all of the aforementioned countries is what ultimately led to their governments. In the Taliban's case, the chaos that was Afghanistan right after the Soviets left in the late 80's is what led to the Taliban being catapulted to power. Ultimately, after so many years of fighting in that country, the vast number of its citizens wanted a strong government that can put an end to all the chaos. The Taliban was the strongest faction out of the numerous armed groups & so, they got the support of the majority of the Afghan people who of course didn't foresee how they will govern since nobody can see the future.
