Well, all of the aforementioned prevailing circumstances back in 2000 may have landed Bush the presidency but they really are minute to the overall prevailing circumstances in the U.S. even up to now! That prevailing circumstance is the domestic policies both parties employs whereby the Republicans generally champions the white man's cause while the Democrats champions the minorities [the non-whites]. *It's too long to mention the various issues here but my brother Gentle wrote extensively on it in his personal articles titled "Freedom v. Equality" [The U.S.A.] though he didn't write where it ultimately leads to (the growing dominance of the Republican party) since he only discussed the 2 parties principles & ideologies on the various issues.
