Anyway, Richard did regain Acre & Jaffa for the christians but that was all. The agreement he reached with Saladdin, the magnificent leader of the muslims from Baghdad to Egypt, gave christian pilgrims access to Jrusalem but little else. The city itself & the adjoining kingdom were still subject to the same law - that of the Koran & not the Holy Bible. *Nowadays, some people in the Arab world feels that Tony Blair along George Bush is in a modern-day crusade.
