*But the saddest of the Crusades was one whereby the christian world was getting desperate & so, they sent children & young boys to the Holy Land to fight the muslims since the regular men got so greedy in ransacking other christian lands they passed-by that they turned their energies into looting the riches of their fellow christians instead of achieving the original goal which was to recapture the Holy Land.

Of course, the "boys crusade" was a quick failure 'coz they were boys & not men. Meaning, war is not for the young.

Overall, the crusades was an abbysmal failure & its one of the ugliest episodes in Christianity's history for it showed the world how aggressive & violent christians can get which is counter-intuitive to the teachings of Christ.

Also, it showed how religion can become a tool of evil instead of good. In the crusades case, war was made in the name of religion.
