Kidwelly has one of the finest Norman castles in Wales. It dominates the town. It stands impregnably proud overlooking the River Gwendraeth.

A coastal town with a population of around 3,000, Kidwelly was established in approximately 1115 AD and received its Royal Charter from King Henry I.
