This Christmas, rather than go to Morocco as I have the past 2 years, I ended up in Turkey. After flying in my luxurious USAF C-17 cargo plane (see photo #5, note the medical patient on the stretcher) to Ramstein Air Base, Germany, I proceed to fly on German Wings (a budget airline) to Istanbul.

This summer, my rich uncle gave me my 4th all expense paid cruise to the exotic Persian Gulf aboard the USS Kearsarge. On the way back, we stopped in Rhodes, Greece. I could see Turkey 30km away, but we were restricted from going there. ... (more)
